fave fridays ....

Apparently I missed this paper line when it came out last year:

http://crate.typepad.com/cratepaper/2014/05/cp-adorn-open-road-journaling-card-mini-albums-jeanette-lee.html

I bought some of this Open Road line by Crate Paper this past weekend at a scrapbooking event.

Have you made any projects with this line?  Share the link here.

Have you got another favourite line of paper that you'd like to share here with us ???

Feel free to post projects or links to the lines.

fave fridays 4 april 2015 ...

There are a couple of fave blogs I'd like to share today.

One is the 123 Challenge Blog - where Alicia Redshaw from Scrapbook Fantasies and her team feature a challenge every month with 3 criteria.  Usually a colour, a technique and a word prompt. Alicia is also a design team member here - and we miss her.  She's been super busy with her business, blog and a beautiful new baby :).  We look forward to her return :).

The second, but certainly not the least, is CSI - Color, Stories, Inspiration - where Debbi Tehrani features 3 challenges every month that have 3 criteria to meet - colour palette, evidence (minimum of 2 criteria to incorporate into your layout), and testimony - criteria for journalling.

1 april 2015 scrapbook challenge ...

This posting is no April Fool joke.  It is actually a tribute to a favourite challenge blog that I was a designer for a couple of years ago - Scrapbookers Anonymous - where the owners Theresa and Lea encouraged us to use up what was in our stash. (I know I always felt I had to showcase the latest in materials and techniques in order to be competitive in challenge blogs) Scrapbookers Anonymous has closed its doors, and I miss what they taught me - use it up - it's ALL good and creative !

Unfortunately, many favourite challenge blogs have posted their last posts. I am looking for some good ones to share with you all on our challenge sites page.  Please do share with us here if you have any favourites :).

Anyway - here is what you are really waiting for :) - Our challenge for the month of April is to:

Use paper or embellishments you have had in your stash for a long time or you can scrap about something you have you have had for a long time. You can use one prompt or both - up to you!

You are always welcome to incorporate our challenges with any other challenge. It is so much fun to play along with several challenges, and to have traffic on your blog from many people from various challenges out there.

We welcome scrapbook pages of any size, and also entries that are not traditional scrapbooking -  art journalling, painting, cards, mixed media, off-the-page work.   However you like to create - we love to see your work! We always encourage you to scrap about yourself so that your family/friends will enjoy knowing more about you.

I will be asking one of the faves amongst the entries this month to guest design with us, and we will feature some of our faves in a posting on the blog. A random draw will be made to win a selection of die-cuts and hand-made flowers.

Here is some inspiration from our super freaking awesome design team:

So thrilled with the AWESOME layouts posted last month - hope we can peek at more this month!!!!
